“My paintings explore the balance of power, sensuality, fragility and strength of the feminine existence. There is a juxtaposition of classical and contemporary within my work, which is mostly figurative, but I also like to play around with abstracting the figure to help create a dreamlike and subjective reality. I have a natural affinity for representing the female body. My aim is to use the body as a vessel for the internal needs, dreams and desires of the subject. Fundamentally, my paintings celebrate and explore the emotional intensity of love that is suspended between the imagined and reality. “
