Carved from a single block of Wombeyan marble, these feet are caught at the end of a swan dive. The surface of the marble has been treated so that the skin of the feet blends into the skin of the stone like an unbroken membrane. With so many monuments fixed to long-standing historical narratives, there is something to be said for a monument that celebrates spontaneity. As ironic as that is carved carefully in stone.
